Shared economy in cultural tourism from a Generation Z point of view

Abstract:

I nejmladší zástupci Generace Z postupně dospívají a začínají cestovat bez svých rodičů. Tato diplomová práce zkoumá vztah mladých lidí z České republiky ke sdílené ekonomice v turismu pomocí dotazníkového šetření, neformálních rozhovorů, ale i zážitků mladých cestovatelů. Mladí lidé často volí alternativní způsoby ubytování, protože si chtějí vyzkoušet, jaké to je v jimi zvolené destinaci na chvíli žít, a poznat tak kulturu zblízka. Z posbíraných informací ale vyplývá, že při využívání sdílené ekonomiky hrozí hlavně couchsurferům nebezpečí všeho druhu.

Abstract:

Even the youngest of Generation Z are slowly becoming adults and are starting to travel on their own. This diploma thesis is focused on the relationship of young people of the Czech republic with shared economy in tourism through a survey, informal interviews, as well as experiences and stories of young travelers. The youth ofter choose alternative ways of accommodation to experience what the life in their chosen destination is like and get to know the culture from a different point of view. However, the collected pieces of information show, that especially couchsurfers might face a lot of dangerous situations by using shared economy.
