History of the gipsy ethnic, their problems with incorporation into society, prognosis of further progress

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce pojednává o historii a původu Romů, jejich dělení jak z hlediska romského, (jak Romové rozdělují sami sebe), tak z hlediska Neromů a etnicko-jazykového. Dále je zde popsáno jejich dětství v rodině, mládí až po dospělost, kdy si sami zakládají rodinu a následně jejich stáří, postoj a postavení vně rodiny. Jsou zde také popsány jejich tradiční povolání, náboženství a zvyky. Je zde i pojednání o postavení Romů ve východní a jihovýchodní Evropě v 16 až 18 století, o jejich pronásledování ve střední a západní Evropě v 16 až 18 století a nacistickém pronásledování v Evropě, také je zde pojednáno o jejich postavení v Evropě po roce 1945 až do roku 1989. Následně je v bakalářské práci popsán vstup Romů na české území v 15. až 18 století a jejich usazení v Čechách a také jejich postavení v první Československé republice a následné nacistické genocidě v Protektorátu Čechy a Morava a na Slovensku. Nakonec je ukončena postavením Romů v Československu po roce 1945 a v České republice po roce 1989.

Abstract:

The object of my Bachelor thesis is about history and origin of the gipsies. How they divide themselves and how other people divide them on the basis of they nationality and differencies in language. There is also described their role in the family in childhood, over growing until they have their own family. You can find here also a description of traditional gipsy jobs, religions and habits. There are chapters about status of gipsies in Europe (from the southeast to the west) from the 15th to the 18th century and influence of the Nazism on their lives. The last part of this Bachelor thesis is devoted to the entering of gypsies to the Bohemia, their status in the Czechoslovakia (also during the World War II) and their problems in the Czech Republic after 1989 till today.
