The workload of the City police officers in Ostrava

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce je zaměřena na zjištění míry pracovní zátěže strážníků Městské policie Ostrava, která svou činnost zahájila v roce 1992 a patří mezi ostatní složky Integrovaného záchranného systému. Teoretická část bakalářské práce se zaměřuje na vysvětlení základních pojmů, které jsou s touto tématikou spojené. Praktická část byla provedena formou dotazníků, které byly předány 212 strážníkům Městské policie Ostrava. Cílem dotazníkového šetření bylo zjištění škály pracovní zátěže strážníků a způsoby, jakými se s touto zátěží vyrovnávají.

Abstract:

This bachelor?s thesis aims to investigate the level of occupational stress of the officers of the Ostrava City Police. The Ostrava City Police was founded in 1992, and it is one of the components of the Integrated Emergency Service. The theoretical part of this bachelor?s thesis focuses on the explanation of the basic terms which are connected to the main concepts. The practical chapter of this thesis was conducted through surveying 212 officers of the Ostrava City Police. The goal of the surveying was to determine the scale of the officers' occupational stress, and the methods the officers use to deal with this stress.
