Vliv Trumpovy politiky na obchodní vztahy mezi Spojenými státy a Mexikem

Abstract:

Práce se zabývá posunem obchodních vztahů mezi USA a Mexikem za doby působení vlády prezidenta Donalda Trumpa, se zvláštním zaměřením na vývoj Severoamerické obchodní dohody NAFTA po dohodu Spojené státy-Mexiko-Kanada (USMCA). Zkoumá historickou trajektorii obchodních politik v obou zemích, zdůrazňuje strategický posun k protekcionismu v USA a odpovídající reakce Mexika. Případová studie je zaměřená na automobilový průmysl a je klíčem k porozumění praktických dopadů těchto obchodních politik. Práce demonstruje kontrast mezi zdánlivě agresivním a náročným přístupem Trumpovy admininstrativy a významnou adaptací obchodní praxe v regionu. Závěry práce ilustrují komplexitu obchodních vztahů mezi USA a Mexikem a zdůrazňují význam strategické adaptace, spolupráce a odolnosti v tomto historickém regionu.

Abstract:

This thesis presents the shift in trade relations between the United States and Mexico under the administration of Donald Trump, with a particular focus on the evolution of the North American Trade Agreement (NAFTA) to the Unite States-Mexico-Canada Agreement (USMCA). It examines the historical trajectory of trade policies in both countries, highlighting the strategic shifts towards protectionism in the U.S and the corresponding responses from Mexico. The case study of the automotive industry is key to understanding the practical impacts of these trade policies. These thesis demonstrates that while Trump's trade instances seemed aggressive and challenging at the same time created important adaptations in trade practices for the region. The findings of this work illustrate the complex trade relationship between the U.S and Mexico and highlights the significance of strategic adaptation, collaboration and resilence for this historic region.
