Abstract:

ABSTRACT Ing. Filip Špacír. European strategic autonomy and its importance for the EU`s global position. Thesis. – University College Prague. International relations and diplomacy. Degree of professional qualification: master Bratislava, 2023, 61pp. The diploma thesis has a theoretical character. The aim of the thesis is to point out the importance of European strategic autonomy in a dynamically changing global security environment. In the first chapter of the diploma thesis, we focus on the EU as a world actor, we point out the power in international relations, the power sources of the EU, global challenges and the European security strategy. In the second chapter, we deal with the European global strategy, which serves as a framework for the EU's foreign policy. In the third chapter, we analyze the European strategic autonomy, and in the fourth chapter, we critically evaluate the ESA, focusing on the given issue in the Slovak Republic. What interests should it promote in the field of security and defense and whether it is also in the interest of the Slovak Republic to deepen cooperation between the EU and the USA. ABSTRAKT Ing. Filip Špacír. Európska strategická autonómia a jej význam pre globálne postavenie EÚ. Diplomová práca. – University College Prague. Mezinárodní vztahy a diplomacie. Stupeň odbornej kvalifikácie: magister Bratislava, 2023, 61s. Diplomová práca má teoretický charakter. Cieľom diplomovej práce je poukázať na význam európskej strategickej autonómie v dynamicky sa meniacom globálnom bezpečnostnom prostredí. V prvej kapitole diplomovej práce sa zameriavame na EÚ ako svetového aktéra, poukazujeme na moc v medzinárodných vzťahoch, mocenské zdroje EÚ, globálne výzvy a európsku bezpečnostnú stratégiu. V druhej kapitole sa venujeme európskej globálnej stratégii, ktorá slúži ako rámec pre vonkajšiu politiku EÚ. V tretej kapitole analyzujeme európsku strategickú autonómiu a v štvrtej kapitole kriticky vyhodnotíme ESA, pričom sa zameriame na danú problematiku v Slovenskej republike. Aké záujmy by mala presadzovať v oblasti bezpečnosti a obrany a či je aj v záujme SR prehlbovanie spolupráce EÚ a USA.
