Job satisfaction of the employees in company X

Abstract:

Tato diplomová práce shrnuje poznatky z oblasti pracovní spokojenosti a zaměřuje se na analýzu pracovní spokojenosti zaměstnanců konkrétní firmy X, která působí na bankovním trhu. Teoretická část práce shrnuje různá pojetí pracovní spokojenosti a její charakteristiky a znaky. Představuje i nejvýznamnější teorie motivace, jejichž pomocí lze zkoumat pracovní spokojenost v organizaci. Dále posuzuje vliv motivace, typu leadershipu a organizační kultury na pracovní spokojenost a soustředí se na vymezení negativního vlivu pracovní nespokojnosti na každodenní život zaměstnance a zaměstnavatele. Poslední kapitola teoretické části se věnuje metodám zkoumání a měření pracovní spokojenosti. Těžiště diplomové práce spočívá v empirické části, která se zaměřuje na posouzení výsledků interního výzkumu, stavěného na měření pracovní spokojenosti v pobočkové síti zkoumané bankovní instituce a následné podložení všech zjištění kvalitativním výzkumem, který obsahuje vyhodnocení hloubkových rozhovorů s představiteli zkoumané pobočky. Následně jsou shrnuty silné a slabé stránky a navržena ta nejužitečnější doporučení pro zvětšení pracovní spokojenosti ve zkoumané pobočce firmy X.

Abstract:

This Master’s thesis summarizes current findings in the field of research of job satisfaction and focuses on the analysis of job satisfaction of employees of a particular company X, which operates in banking industry. The theoretical part summarizes various concepts of job satisfaction and its characteristics and features. It also introduces the most significant theoretical approaches to motivation, which can be used to describe and study job satisfaction in organizations. Furthermore, it focuses on assessing the impact of motivation, type of leadership and organizational culture on job satisfaction and defining the negative impact of job dissatisfaction on the daily life of employees and employers. The last chapter of the theoretical part is devoted to methodical research and measurement of job satisfaction. The main emphasis of this thesis lies in the empirical part, which focuses on assessing the results of internal research, based on measuring job satisfaction in the network of branches of the examined banking institution. All the findings are then supported by qualitative research, which includes evaluation of in-depth interviews. Subsequently, the strengths and weaknesses are summarized and the most useful recommendations for increasing job satisfaction in the examined branch of the company X are proposed.
