Capital protected funds, their fundamental characteristics and present position in financial investments

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce je zaměřena na zajištěné fondy, které jsou jedním z typů fondů kolektivního investování. Kolektivní investování prošlo v posledních desetiletích významným rozvojem a stalo se jedním z významných finančních zprostředkovatelů. Práce nejprve popisuje fungování finančních trhů včetně oblasti kolektivního investování, dále se zabývá institucionálním uspořádáním a vývojem ve světě a v České republice. Praktická část představuje zajištěné fondy a mapuje současnou pozici zajištěných fondů v oblasti kolektivního investování. Nejprve obecně popisuje konstrukci zajištěného fondu a postupný vývoj v České republice až do současnosti. Poté charakterizuje hlavní typy a konstrukce zajištěných fondů různých emitentů na českém trhu a detailněji analyzuje zajištěné fondy České spořitelny. V závěru bakalářská práce hodnotí současné postavení zajištěných fondů v oblasti kolektivního investování. Naplněním těchto jednotlivých kroků je splněn cíl bakalářské práce, kterým je vytvoření celkového přehledu o vývoji trhu zajištěných fondů v České republice, popis základních charakteristik, znaků a konstrukcí tohoto vybraného typu fondu a následná analýza současného postavení a pozice zajištěných fondů v kontextu vývoje tohoto typu fondu v České republice a zároveň v kontextu období současné finanční a hospodářské krize.

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis is focused on capital protected funds, which are one type of collective investment funds. Collective investment in recent decades has undergone significant development and has become one of the major financial intermediaries. This work describes the first part of the functioning of financial markets with the inclusion of the collective investment industry, focused on institutional arrangements, developments in the world and the Czech Republic. The practical part of thesis introduces a capital protected fund and describes the current position of capital protected funds in collective investment schemes. First describes the general design of capital protected fund and the gradual development in the Czech Republic until now. Then describes the main types and structure of capital protected funds offered by different issuers in the Czech market and described in greater detail and analyzes the Czech Savings Bank capital protected funds. The end of the bachelor thesis evaluates the current status of capital protected funds in collective investment schemes. To work is to provide an overview of market developments in capital protected funds Czech Republic, to describe the basic characteristics, features a design of this type of fund and then analyze the current position of capital protected funds in the context of the development of this type of fund in the Czech Republic and also in the context current financial and economic crisis.
