The support of language knowledge and language skills that are relevant for work experience of the students in profession related teaching German as a foreign language at Škoda Auto Vysoká škola o.p.s.

Abstract:

The theme of the master thesis is the language preparation of students at the Škoda Auto University for their mandatory six-month foreign work experience within a German language environment. The aim of the work is to formulate proposals for increasing the effectiveness of this language teaching. For this purpose, following a theoretical summary of the specifics of the various types of teaching, the contents of the professionally focused German language teaching are examined within the context of the preparation of the language graduates for the given work experience. These contents are compared with the requirements of the firms and further also with their actual demands on the basis of the experiences of those who have undergone this work experience. On the basis of their experiences, students subsequently evaluate the practical value of the language teaching they have undergone. In the concluding section of the master thesis, the observations gained could be used in order to formulate proposals for the potential modification of the existing language teaching, as well as initiatives for further research.

Abstract:

Tématem práce je jazyková příprava studentů Škoda Auto vysoké školy na jejich povinnou zahraniční praxi ve firmách v německém jazykovém prostředí, cílem práce jsou pak návrhy pro její zefektivnění. Za tímto účelem jsou po teoretickém shrnutí specifik různých typů výuky zkoumány obsahy tamní odborně zaměřené výuky německého jazyka v kontextu přípravy jejích absolventů na danou praxi. Tyto obsahy jsou porovnávány s požadavky firem, dále pak s jejich skutečnými nároky na základě zkušeností absolventů praxe. Na základě těchto svých zkušeností studenti posléze hodnotí praktičnost absolvované výuky. Ze získaných poznatků jsou v závěru práce načrtnuty návrhy k možné modifikaci obsahů stávající výuky a podněty pro další výzkum.
