Satisfaction and Motivation of Employees in the State Oganization

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce se zabývá tématem motivace a spokojenosti zaměstnanců ve veřejném sektoru. Teoretická část práce se zaměřuje na vysvětlení základních pojmů jako je motivace, stimulace, odměňování a pracovní spokojenost. V této části jsou představeny různé motivační teorie a jejich vztah k výkonu zaměstnanců. Na konci teoretické části jsou charakterizovány rozdíly mezi soukromým a veřejným sektorem z hlediska pracovní spokojenosti a pracovní motivace zaměstnanců. Praktická část zahrnuje analýzu motivačního systému konkrétní státní organizace, tedy Ministerstva školství, mládeže a tělovýchovy České republiky, a to s využitím metody dotazníkového setření provedeného mezi zaměstnanci organizace a také na základě osobního pohovoru s ředitelkou odboru sportu. Cílem práce je identifikovat faktory, které ovlivňují motivaci zaměstnanců v dané organizaci, zjistit, jak jsou s těmito faktory zaměstnanci spokojeni a popřípadě navrhnout doporučení ke zlepšení stávající situace a alespoň částečnému eliminování problémových míst.

Abstract:

The bachelor thesis deals with the motivation and satisfaction of employees in the public sector. The theoretical part focuses on the explanation of basic concepts such as motivation, stimulation, remuneration and job satisfaction. In this part presents various motivational theories and how it relates to employee performance. At the end of the theoretical part are characterized differences between private and public sector from the point of view of job satisfaction and work motivation of employees. The practical part includes the description of the state organization, which is The Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports of the Czech Republic, an analysis of motivation system, which is evaluated by questionnaire survey among employees and personal interview with the Director of Sports Department. The aim of the thesis is to analyze the factors that influence the motivation of employees and find out how they are satisfied with them. Possibly propose recommendations that should lead to improve the current situation and at least partially eliminate the problematic area.
