Business Intelligence Solutions for a Manufacturing Company

Abstract:

Hlavním cílem této bakalářské práce je na základě komplexní podnikové analýzy navrhnout Business Intelligence řešení, které bude firmě pomáhat v kvalifikovaném rozhodování. Pro splnění hlavního cíle byly stanoveny dva cíle dílčí. Prvním bylo provést charakteristiku oblasti, ve které společnost Ahorn CZ působí. Druhým dílčím cílem bylo zanalyzovat potřebné oblasti řízení, kterými by se měl podnik výrobního typu zaobírat. Stanovených cílů bylo dosaženo díky rešerši zdrojů, vlastním zkušenostem autora a konzultacemi s odborníkem zabývajícím se implementací Business Intelligence řešení ve výrobních podnicích. Výstupem této práce je tedy analýza všech oblastí řízení výrobního podniku a samotný návrh řešení Business Intelligence aplikace. Analýza podniku vychází z obecně definovaných oblastí řízení podniku, které jsou dále rozšířeny o specifika vycházející z podstaty oboru podnikání. Na základě této analýzy je následně zpracována aplikace Business Intelligence, pro jejíž realizaci byl využit nástroj Microsoft Power BI.

Abstract:

The main objective of this bachelor's thesis is to propose a comprehensive Business Intelligence solution based on a complex enterprise analysis that will help the company in making informed decisions. To achieve the main objective, two partial objectives were set. The first was to characterize the manufacturing industry in which Ahorn CZ operates. The second partial objective was to analyze the necessary management areas that a manufacturing company should focus on. The set objectives were achieved through resource research, the author's own experience, and consultations with an expert in implementing Business Intelligence solutions in manufacturing companies. The output of this work is an analysis of all management areas of a manufacturing company and the actual design of a Business Intelligence application solution. The analysis of the company is based on generally defined areas of enterprise management, which are further expanded to include specifics arising from the nature of the business. Based on this analysis, the Business Intelligence application is subsequently developed, using the Microsoft Power BI tool.
