Education of pupils with mental retardation at a secondary vocational school

Abstract:

V bakalářské práci je zpracováno téma vzdělávání žáků s mentálním postižením na střední odborné škole. Cílem teoretické části je vymezit pojem mentální retardace (MR) a definovat toto postižení, popsat etiologii a klasifikaci mentálního postižení dle stupňů mentální retardace, dále také symptomatologii MR a typické projevy v procesu učení. Dále bude popsána výchova a vzdělávání žáků s mentálním postižením, vymezena rodinná výchova a definována inkluze a interakce. Na to navazuje popis individuálního vzdělávacího plánu, vymezení role asistenta pedagoga a školského poradenského zařízení. Metodou použitou pro zpracování teoretické části je studium odborných literárních a internetových zdrojů, legislativy a zákonů, jejich analýza a syntéza.Cílem praktické části bakalářské práce je rozpoznat, jaké názory zaujímají učitelé středních odborných škol na vzdělávání žáků s mentální retardací a jaké případné zkušenosti s těmito žáky mají. Dále je poukázáno na to, jak se cítí být učitelé připraveni vzdělávat žáky s mentálním postižením. V praktické části je použit kvantitativní průzkum a jako nástroj sběru dat slouží dotazník navržený pro stanovený účel průzkumu. Dotazníková data vyhodnocena pomocí deskriptivní statistiky. Respondenty tvoří učitelé vybraných středních odborných škol.

Abstract:

As part of the bachelor work the subject looks into students with mental disability in the high school years. The aim of the theory is to understand various concepts of mental disability and defining what disability is, understand etiology, further more understand the different levels and classifications of mental disability, understand the symptomology of mental disability and the common teaching practices for mentally disabled students. Describe educational needs and behaviours of students with mental disabily, understand the inclusion and interaction requirements, the development of individual education plans, understand the role of assistant teachers (teachers’ aid) in the development of individual student plans, understanding the available school programs. The subjekt will use different methods of research such as professional jounals and Internet, legislativ, regulation and policy to affectively understand and assess the theory (the topic).The aim of the practical part of bachelor work is to identify, what opinions the teachers of secondary vocational shool are taking on the education of pupils with mental retardation and what possible experience they have with these pupils. Further, capture how teachers feel ready to educate pupils with intellectual disabilities.In the practical part of bachelor work, quantitative research will be used and the data collection tool will be a questionnaire designed for the specified purpose of the survey. Data from questionnaires will be evaluated using descriptive stitistics. Respondents will be teacher of selected secondary vocational schools.
