Nurse and social media

Abstract:

Diplomová práce se věnuje tématu sester a jejich vztahu k sociálním médiím. Práce je rozdělena na část teoretickou a praktickou. Cílem teoretické části je seznámit se s problematikou sociálních médií – zahrnuje definici, přehled a statistiku využívání. Součástí je dále charakteristika pojmu sestra, popsání vztahu mezi médii a sestrami a problematika ochrany soukromí s tímto spojená. Empirická část zpracovává data získaná kvantitativním šetřením, zaměřena je nejen na zmapování míry využívání sociálních médií sestrami, ale zjišťuje také názory sester na ně. Statisticky byly zjišťovány faktory, které výše zmíněné skutečnosti ovlivňují, přičemž bylo zjištěno, že jako faktory se uplatňují věk, délka klinické praxe a v menší míře pak nejvyšší dosažené vzdělání. Typ oddělení se jako faktor neprojevil ani v jenom z případů.

Abstract:

The master's thesis deals with the topic of nurses and their relationship to social media. This thesis is divided into theoretical and practical parts. The theoretical part aims to get familiar with the theme of social media – including definition, their overview, and usage statistic. It also includes a description of the term nurse, a description of the relationship between media and nurses, and privacy issues associated with it. The empirical part aims to analyze data obtained by the questionnaire sur-vey, focused is not only on detecting the usage of social media but also finds out the nurses' views on them. Factors influencing the above-mentioned facts were statistically determined. We found out that age, length of clinical practice and, to a lesser extent, the highest educational attainment are determined as factors. The type of department did not manifest itself as a factor in any of the instances.
