The Profile of the Visitor of Domažlicko Region

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce se zabývá charakteristikou typického návštěvníka destinace Domažlicko. Cílem práce je sestavit profil návštěvníka této destinace, v němž bude návštěvník vymezen především na základě jeho chování v destinaci, při plánování cesty a také ve vztahu k produktu cestovního ruchu. Součástí práce je také segmentace návštěvníka na základě demografických, geografických a socio-ekonomických kritérií. Profil návštěvníka byl sestaven pomocí kvantitativního výzkumu v podobě dotazníkového šetření realizovaného mezi návštěvníky destinace Domažlicko. Obsahem práce jsou dále teoretické poznatky o destinaci cestovního ruchu, a především poznatky o marketingovém řízení destinace. Práce také charakterizuje potenciál pro cestovní ruch v destinaci Domažlicko, a to na základě analýzy primární a sekundární nabídky cestovního ruchu. Dále jsou zde navrženy segmenty na trhu cestovního ruchu v této destinaci a také některá opatření a doporučení, která by měla vést ke zvýšení atraktivity této destinace pro další návštěvníky.

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis focuses on the characteristics of the typical visitor of Domažlicko region. The aim of the thesis is to define the profile of the visitor of this destination. The profile characterizes the visitor in relation to the tourism product and it also describes his behaviour during the stay in the destination and when planning the trip. Moreover, segmentation according to the demographic, geographical and socio-economic factors is included in the thesis. The profile was created using quantitative research method in the form of questionnaire survey conducted among visitors of Domažlicko region. The content of the thesis is theoretical knowledge of tourism destination, especially knowledge of destination marketing management. The thesis also characterizes potential of this tourism destination, based on the analysis of the primary and secondary offer in tourism. Furthermore, segments of the tourism market and some measures and recommendations to increase the attractiveness of this destination for other visitors are proposed in the thesis.
