Crisis management in hotels during the recession

Abstract:

The theme of this diploma work, which is the crisis management in hotels during the recession, we have chosen not only for its topicality, but also because of my personal involvement in the issue of hospitality. The aim of the theoretical part is thoroughly map the theoretical background of the issue of crisis management, focusing on the hotel in the professional literature. The aim of the analytical part of the thesis is to analyze the attitudes, beliefs and knowledge of current employees of company Tále, a.s. to crisis and crisis management through a questionnaire survey. The aim of the proposal part based on results is to suggest steps leading to improve crisis management of the company. The thesis is divided into three parts. In the first part of the thesis we dealt with the theoretical definition of the problems through professionall literature, articles and comparison of several authors who are dedicated to this issue. In the second part we presented the results of the questionnaire survey in company Tále, a.s. Based on the results of the questionnaire, in our third part we recommended the steps and suggestions, which could be helpful for Tále, a.s. in improving and implementation of crisis management.

Abstract:

Tému diplomovej práce, ktorou je krízové riadenie hotelov v období recesie, sme si vybrali nielen pre jej aktuálnosť, ale aj z dôvodu osobnej zainteresovanosti v problematike hotelierstva. Cieľom teoretickej časti diplomovej práce je dôkladne zmapovať teoretické východiská problematiky krízového riadenia so zameraním na hotel v odbornej literatúre. Cieľom analytickej časti diplomovej práce je analýza postojov, názorov a informovanosti súčasných zamestnancov spoločnosti Tále, a.s. ku kríze a krízovému riadeniu prostredníctvom dotazníkového prieskumu. Cieľom návrhovej časti je na základe výsledkov prieskumu navrhnúť kroky smerujúce k zlepšeniu krízového riadenia danej spoločnosti. Diplomová práca je rozdelená do troch častí. V prvej časti diplomovej práce sme sa venovali teoretickému vymedzeniu problematiky prostredníctvom odbornej literatúry, odborných článkov a porovnaním viacerých autorov, ktorý sa tejto problematike venuje. V druhej časti sme prezentovali výsledky realizovaného dotazníkového prieskumu v spoločnosti Tále, a.s. Na základe výsledkov dotazníkového prieskumu, sme v tretej časti diplomovej práce odporúčali jednotlivé kroky a návrhy, ktoré by spoločnosti Tále, a.s. mohli byť nápomocné pri zlepšovaní, resp. zavádzaní krízového riadenia.
