Implementation of migration in civics lessons

Abstract:

Cílem diplomové práce je zmapovat, jakým způsobem je možné začlenit problematiku migrace do hodin výchovy k občanství na základní škole. Tohoto cíle je dosaženo splněním tří dílčích úkolů. V teoretické části práce jsou shrnuty metody vhodné pro výuku migrace. V praktické části je provedena obsahová analýza nejpoužívanějších učebnic výchovy k občanství s ohledem na téma migrace. Na závěr tato práce obsahuje vlastní návrh výuky, který využívá metod z teoretické části za účelem kompenzování limitů zjištěných u učebnic.

Abstract:

The main purpose of this thesis is to explore the appropriate way of incorporating the matter of migration into the civics classes at primary school. The thesis consists of three main tasks. In the theoretical part, there is the summary of tried and tested methods suitable for teaching about migration. The practical part contains content analysis of the most frequent civics textbooks with the emphasis on the topic of migration. At the end, there is a lesson plan that uses the methods from the theoretical part to compensate for the limits of the textbooks.
