The Tools for Education of Pupils with Autism Spectrum Disorders

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce se zabývá pomůckami pro vzdělávání a rozvoj žáků s poruchami autistického spektra. Je tvořena částí teoretickou a praktickou. Teoretická část sestává ze základních pojmů, definic a metod klasifikace poruch autistického spektra, a je rovněž zaměřena na popis chování a vnímání osob s poruchami autistického spektra a jejich specifika. Také popisuje rámcové vzdělávací programy pro vzdělávání těchto žáků na základní škole a srovnává základní rozdíly mezi těmito programy. Zahrnuje rovněž rady, jak rozvíjet vybrané oblasti za využití běžně dostupných pomůcek. Hlavním cílem praktické části práce je zjistit, které pomůcky pro vzdělávání a rozvoj žáků s poruchami autistického spektra využívají učitelé na základní škole zřízené podle paragrafu 16 odstavce 9 školského zákona, a popsat jejich využití. Dílčí cíle práce odpovídají na otázku, které pomůcky učitelé využívají k rozvoji hrubé motoriky, jemné motoriky a zrakového vnímání, sluchového vnímání, hmatového vnímání. Pro tyto účely byly vedeny rozhovory s učiteli, pro lepší ilustraci jsou k popisům pořízeny také fotografie pomůcek.

Abstract:

The bachelor thesis focuses on tools for the education and development of pupils with autism spectrum disorders. The thesis is divided into a theoretical and a practical part. The theoretical part includes basic concepts, definitions and methods of classification of autism spectrum disorders, whilst also dealing with the description of the behaviour and the perception of persons with autism spectrum disorders, and their specifics. Further, framework education programmes for the primary education of pupils with autism spectrum disorders are described and the basic diferences between these programmes are reviewed and compared. Advices on how to develop some selected areas using commonly available tools are also included. The main aim of the practical part of the thesis is to identify which tools for the education and development of pupils with autistic spectrum disorders are being utilised by teachers in a primary school established under paragraph 16 section 9 of the education act, and to describe their utilisation. A secondary aim of the thesis is to answer the question which tools teachers use to develop gross motor skills, fine motor skills and visual perception, auditory perception, tactile perception. To that end, teachers were interviewed, and photographs of the tools they use are included with the descriptions.
