The influence of concentrated oxygen on the speed of stimulus processing from the environment in students of the Department of Physical Education and Sport PF UJEP.

Abstract:

Cílem diplomové práce je zjistit, zda inhalace koncentrovaného kyslíku ovlivní úroveň reakční doby u studentů KTVS UJEP. Měření se účastnilo celkem 29 probandů. Pomocí testu Fitro Reaction Check byla měřena úroveň reakční doby pomocí dvou testů pro jednoduchou i složitou reakci. Ve výzkumu této diplomové práce byl použit dvojitě slepý experiment, který zahrnoval placebo látku. Během testování tak byla probandům podávaná kyslíková láhev s koncentračním kyslíkem 99,5 %, nebo placebo. Při druhém termínu měření byly tyto láhve zaměněny, takže ti, kteří při prvním měření dostali placebo, nyní dostali koncentrovaný kyslík. Praktická část diplomové práce zahrnuje popis celého testování s jednotlivými výsledky a jejich intepretace. Z výsledků naměřených hodnot můžeme říct, že mezi vstupním a výstupním měřením u jednoduché reakční doby existuje statisticky významný rozdíl společně s věcnou významností středního efektu. U složité reakční doby byl také zjištěn statistický významný rozdíl mezi vstupním a výstupním měřením po inhalaci koncertovaného kyslíku. U vstupního a výstupního měření při použití placeba nebyl tento rozdíl statisticky ani věcně významný. Mezi pohlavími nebyl taktéž zjištěn statisticky významný rozdíl u jednoduché reakční doby mezi vstupním a výstupním měřením po použití koncentrovaného kyslíku. Taktéž tomu bylo u složité reakční doby. Závěrem můžeme sdělit, že koncertovaný kyslík měl pozitivní vliv na zlepšení jednoduché i složité reakční doby. Rozdíly mezi vstupními a výstupními měřeními byly statisticky významné, zároveň velikost efektu inhalace koncertovaného kyslíku na výsledky inhalaci placeba nepotvrdil statisticky významný rozdíl.

Abstract:

The aim of the diploma thesis is to find out whether the inhalation of concentrated oxygen affects the level of reaction time in students of KTVS UJEP. A total of 29 probands participated in the measurement. Using the Fitro Reaction Check, the level of reaction time was measured using two tests for a simple and a complex reaction. In the research of this thesis, a double-blind experiment was used, which included a placebo substance. During the testing, the probands were given an oxygen cylinder with a concentration of 99.5 % oxygen or a placebo. At the second measurement appointment, these bottles were switched so that those who had received placebo at the first measurement now received concentrated oxygen. The practical part of the thesis includes a description of the entire testing with individual results and their interpretation. From the results of the measured values, we can say that there is a statistically significant difference between the input and output measurements for the simple reaction time, together with the material significance of the mean effect. For the complex reaction time, a statistically significant difference was also found between the input and output measurements after inhalation of concerted oxygen. For the input and output measurement when using a placebo, this difference is not statistically significant. There was also no statistically significant difference between the sexes in the simple reaction time between the input and output measurements after the use of concentrated oxygen. The same was the case with the complex reaction time. In conclusion, we can say that concerted oxygen had a positive effect on the improvement of simple and complex reaction time. The difference between the input and output measurements was statistically significant, at the same time the size of the effect of concerted oxygen inhalation on the results of placebo inhalation did not confirm a statistically significant difference.
