The DUŠE K Phenomenon Talk shows as a theatrical format in theory and practice

Abstract:

Diplomová práce se zabývá besedním pořadem s názvem Duše K – alternativním pořadem, který svou tematikou vyvrací zkreslený a zjednodušený pohled konzumní společnosti na alternativní praktiky. V teoretické části jsou uvedeny dílčí kapitoly mající vliv na jeho koncept a rovněž na uskutečnění vzniku tohoto formátu, jenž se z původní rozhlasové podoby přenesl na divadelní prkna. Práce se soustřeďuje i na moderátora Jaroslava Duška a jeho nekonvenční improvizační metodu, díky níž je beseda svým přístupem i obsahovou náplní jedinečná. V praktické části je potom analyzován konkrétní díl besedy a jsou zmapovány kroky, které vedou k jeho produkční přípravě a realizaci vzniku. Cílem práce je poukázat na společná specifika pořadu, která sdružují určitou komunitu lidí, v tomto případě diváky besedy inklinující k alternativnímu způsobu života a jeho systému, na nějž je mnohdy nazíráno kriticky.

Abstract:

The diploma thesis deals with a talk show Duše K (Soul K) – the alternative programme which denies a distorted and simplified view of a consumer society at alternative ways. The theoretical part provides component chapters that influence its concept as well as creation of this format which was transferred from an original radio programme on a theatre stage. The thesis is focused on the moderator of the show Jaroslav Dušek and his unconventional method of improvisation, thanks to which this talk show is unique both in its approach and its content. The practical part analyses a particular part of the talk and the steps leading to its production preparations and realisation are mapped out. The aim of the thesis is to refer to common specifics of the programme that link a certain community of people, in this case the audience of a talk which incline to an alternative way of life and its system, which is regarded rather critically many times.
