The relationship between unemployment and the quality of life of the inhabitants of Ústí nad Labem

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce zkoumá vztah mezi nezaměstnaností a kvalitou života občanů Ústí nad Labem. Cílem studie je zjistit, zda existuje vztah mezi nezaměstnaností a kvalitou života, a také, jak moc je kvalita života nezaměstnaných občanů pozměněná oproti zaměstnaným občanům Ústí nad Labem. Kvalita života byla zkoumána na základě rodinného stavu, subjektivního psychického i fyzického zdraví, i na základě životní spokojenosti, která se odráží, jak ve spotřebě cigaret, tak i alkoholu. Za pomoci regresní analýzy bylo možné zjistit povědomí o vlivu nezaměstnanosti na různé aspekty kvality života s ohledem na pohlaví a věk. Výsledky této práce poslouží jak jedincům zabývající se problematikou nezaměstnanosti, tak institucím, které budou moci předvídat dopady nezaměstnanosti na cílové skupiny.

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis examines the relationship between unemployment and the quality of life of the citizens of Ústí nad Labem. The aim of the study is to determine whether there is a relationship between unemployment and quality of life, and also how much the quality of life of unemployed citizens is altered compared to employed citizens of Ústí nad Labem. Quality of life was examined on the basis of marital status, subjective mental and physical health, and life satisfaction, which is reflected in both cigarette and alcohol consumption. Using regression analysis, it was possible to determine awareness of the impact of unemployment on various aspects of quality of life with respect to gender and age. The results of this work will serve both individuals dealing with unemployment issues and institutions that will be able to predict the impact of unemployment on target groups.
