The role of the dietitian in the care of food allergies

Abstract:

Tato práce se zabývá potravinovými alergiemi a rolí nutričního terapeuta při jejich terapii. Teoretická část se věnuje teoretickému pozadí potravinových alergií a také zmínkám o roli a postavení nutričního terapeuta v terapii potravinových alergií v zahraniční a české literatuře. Praktická část zjišťuje a hodnotí situaci v terapii potravinových alergií mezi nutričními terapeuty pracujícími v ambulantních zařízeních. Dalším výstupem praktické části je návrh standardu nutriční péče o pacienty s potravinovou alergií.

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis deals with the topic of food allergies and the role of dietitians in the therapy of food allergies. The theoretical part is focused on the theoretical background of food allergy and on the role and importance of dietitians mentioned in foreign and Czech literature. The practical part of this thesis consists of the assessment of the situation in nutrition care in the Czech Republic via a questionnaire which was distributed among dietitians working in out-patient settings. Another part is a draft of nutrition care standard for patients with food allergies.
