Cílem mojí bakalářské práce je analyzovat koncept ženských cestovatelek ve fikční literatuře Arithy van Herk: Places Far from Ellesmere (1990), Restlessness (1990) a No Fixed Address (1986). Práce se zaměřuje na zacházení autorky s hlavními postavami v těchto knihách. Ačkoliv se příběhy hrdinek liší, lze v nich pozorovat jisté společné prvky a paralely ženských cestopisných narativů. The purpose of my Bachelor’s Thesis is to analyze the concept of women travellers in the fiction by Aritha van Herk: Places Far from Ellesmere (1990), Restlessness (1990) and No Fixed Address (1986). The thesis focuses on the van Herk’s treatment of her main female characters in these novels.
