Scenic Adaptation of Artwork in Epic Poetry, which Were Arise from Co-operation between Director Zdenek Pospisil and Dramatist and Writer Milan Uhde in Theatre Goose on the String

Abstract:

Záměrem této magisterské práce bylo analyzovat ty inscenace režiséra Zdeňka Pospíšila, na kterých se podílel i dramatik a spisovatel Milan Uhde (Panta rei, Profesionální žena, Balada pro banditu, Na Pohádku máje). Rozpoznat a definovat, zda v případě těchto jednotlivých inscenací můžeme hovořit o dramatizacích, divadelních montážích, nebo pouze o divadelních adaptacích. Při analýzách se tedy soustřeďuji na míru jejich autorského vlivu. Inscenace jsou samozřejmě ovlivněny i dobovým politickým kontextem. Jak režisér Pospíšil, tak dramatik Uhde se prostřednictvím svoji práce na inscenacích snažili o aktuálnost jejich výpovědí. Právě inscenace vzniklé spoluprací s tehdy zakázaným spisovatelem a dramatikem Uhdem lze považovat za vrchol Pospíšilovy režijní práce.

Abstract:

This thesis Scenic adaptation of artwork in epic poetry, which were arise from co-operation between director Zdenek Pospisil and dramatist and writer Milan Uhde in Theatre Goose on the string is describing their theatre productions: Panta rei, A Professional woman, Ballad for bandit and Fairy tale of May. Special performance was Panta rei, the first performance of this theatre. In this performance was Milan Uhde author of his artwork – short stories, which Pospisil scenic adapted in 1968, like a scenic montage of his stories. In other three performances Milan Uhde was author of the script. He adapted for Pospisil three czech romances for this theatre. Co-operation between Pospisil and Uhde was very difficult, because Uhde became prohibited author since 1972 in the time of normalization, so they have to co-operating in secret. My work is also interesting in problematic of staging epic poetry, which was typical for Pospisil theatre work. This work gives us a view in a theory of scenic adaptations, dramatizations and scenic montages.
