Position of controlling in manager's decision

Abstract:

Obsahem práce je pohled na controlling jako na jeden z nástrojů řízení firmy. V teoretické části jsou vysvětleny základní principy o něž se opírá controllingové oddělení společnosti Kámen a písek spol. s r.o. (KAP) při stanovování cílů společnosti, porovnávání plánu a skutečnosti, analýze odchylek a provádění nápravných opatření. Jedná se v podstatě o systém pravidel řízení, kdy je porovnáváno chtěné a možné. Pozice samotného controllera je chápána ve smyslu činnosti koordinátora, poradce a navigátora. Aplikační část nejprve charakterizuje prostředí těžby nerostných surovin v České republice, ve kterém působí společnost KAP, a dále rozkrývá organizační strukturu firmy samotné. Postupně je objasněna činnost controllingového oddělení spočívající ve sledování nákladů podle kódů a středisek, plánování, kontrole a analýze odchylek, reportingu a v neposlední řadě sestavování očekávané skutečnosti. Samotné vedení společnosti chápe controllingové oddělení jako nepostradatelnou pomoc při řešení zásadních otázek chodu a dalšího rozvoje firmy. Společnost velice dobře prosperuje a v současné době je stabilizovaná. Hlavním úkolem je zajištění jejího fungování v delším časovém horizontu. Z tohoto důvodu jsem v závěru doporučil orientaci firmy na strategický controlling.

Abstract:

This work is about the use of controlling as one of the company management's tools. In the theoretical part of this work the basic principals used by the controlling department of Kamen a pisek spol. s r.o. (KAP) company when setting company goals, when comparing the plan and the reality, when analyzing and executing corrective measures, are explained. It's a system of management rules applied when desired and possible is compared. The controller's position is understood as a series of coordinator's, advisor's and navigator's actions combined. The application part then characterizes the environment of mineral mining industry in the Czech republic, where the KAP company operates, and then further describes and analyses the organizational structure of company itself. Step by step the controlling department actions, consisting of cost management (codes and divisions classified), planning, deviation control and analyses, reporting and expected reality setting, are explained. The company management itself understands the controlling department to be essential and indispensable help when basic questions of company's good function and further development are being answered. Currently the KAP company is well stabilized and prosperous. It's main task will be securing it's good function in long-term perspective. That's why my recommendation for the company in the end of this work is to focus more on the strategic controlling in the future.
