Abstract:

Absolventská práce se zabývá sociální oporou a spirituálním distresem v sociální práci s osobami s psychickým onemocněním. Cílem této práce je představit a zhodnotit v jaké podobě jsou oba koncepty diskutovány u osob s psychickým onemocněním v současném českém diskurzu sociální práce. Oba pojmy jsou předmětem řady soudobých studií, jimiž je jejich vliv na prožívání a zdraví jedince prokázán. Poznatky vyplývající z této práce mohou poukázat na důležitost vnímat sociální oporu a spiritualitu jako významný prvek pomoci i v sociální práci s klienty s duševním onemocněním. Tato absolventská práce je prací teoretickou, zpracovanou formou kompilace. Práce je členěna do 4 tematických kapitol. První kapitola je věnována charakteristickým prvkům sociální práce s lidmi s duševním onemocněním. Významnou součástí této kapitoly je, kromě definování duševního onemocnění a popisu specifických potřeb duševně nemocných osob, také charakteristika současného sytému péče o duševní zdraví v ČR, a to včetně poukázání na probíhající reformu psychiatrické péče a rozvoj komunitního systému péče. Na závěr první kapitoly je zmíněn také proces zotavení. Následující dvě kapitoly se věnují vymezení základních a pro tuto práci stěžejních pojmů, jimiž jsou sociální opora, spiritualita příp. religiozita a spirituální distres. Poslední, čtvrtá kapitola nastiňuje relevanci diskurzu spirituality v sociální práci a to včetně popisu konceptu spirituálních potřeb a možných spirituálně citlivých intervencí v sociální práci.

Abstract:

The graduate thesis deals with a social support and spiritual distress in social work with people with mental illness. The aim of this thesis is to present and evaluate in what form both concepts are discussed in case of people with mental illness in the contemporary Czech social work discourse. Both concepts are the subject of a number of contemporary studies that demonstrate their influence on the experience and health of an individual. The findings resulting from this work may show the importance of perceiving social support and spirituality as an important element of help in social work with clients with mental illness. This graduate thesis is a theoretical, compiled thesis. The thesis is divided into four thematic chapters. The first chapter is devoted to the characteristic elements of social work with people with mental illness. An important part of this charter is in addition to defining mental illness and describing the specific needs of mentally ill people, the characteristic of the current mental health care system in the Czech Republic, including the reference to the ongoing reform of psychiatric care and the development of community care systems. The conclusion of the first chapter also mentions the recovery process. The following two chapters deal with the definition of the basic and fundamental concepts for this thesis, which are social support, spirituality, religiosity and spiritual distress. The last, fourth chapter outlines the relevance of spirituality discourse in social work, including a description of the concept of spiritual needs and possible spiritual-sensitive interventions in social work.
