Drama education as a teaching method within the subject of Czech Language and Literature at the 2nd level of primary school

Abstract:

Tato práce se zabývá tématem dramatické výchovy jako vyučovací metody na druhém stupni základních škol. Cílem práce je výzkumem ověřit, zda metody dramatické výchovy mohou být účinnou a efektivní pomůckou při výuce Českého jazyka ve všech jeho složkách - jazykové, slohové i literární. Práce je rozdělena na teoretickou a praktickou část. Teoretická část představuje dramatickou výchovu jako obor, popisuje metody a techniky, kterých užívá a také seznamuje čtenáře s podobami, v jakých se s dramatickou výchovou můžeme setkat v rámci českého školství. Praktická část obsahuje seznam dramatických aktivit, které jsou vytvořeny v souladu s učivem Českého jazyka na druhém stupni základních škol. Tyto aktivity jsou v dalších kapitolách uvedeny v ukázkových hodinách českého jazyka, jejichž cílem je demonstrovat, že dramatické aktivity je možné zařadit i do běžných vyučovacích hodin. Vrcholem praktické části práce je realizace hodiny českého jazyka za použití dramatických aktivit ve třech různých třídách 6. ročníku ZŠ a zhodnocení její funkčnosti ve vztahu k probíranému tématu.

Abstract:

This thesis deals with the topic of drama education as a teaching method at the second level of primary schools. The aim of the thesis is to verify by research whether the methods of dramatic education can be an effective and efficient tool in teaching the Czech language in all its elements- linguistic, stylistic and literary. The thesis is divided into theoretical and practical part. The theoretical part introduces drama education as a discipline, describes the methods and techniques it uses, and also introduces the reader to the forms in which drama education can occur within Czech educational system. The practical part contains a list of drama activities that are developed according to the Czech language curriculum at the second level of primary school. These activities are presented in the following chapters as a part of Czech language lessons, which aim to demonstrate that dramatic activities can be included in regular lessons. The peak of the practical part of the thesis is the implementation of a Czech language lesson using dramatic activities in three different 6th grade classes of primary school and the evaluation of its functionality in relation to the topic discussed in that lesson.
