Abstract:

Cílem předkládané disertační práce je nalézt odpověď na stanovenou hlavní výzkumnou otázku: Zda a jak sociální pracovníci s psychoterapeutickým výcvikem a bez výcviku, pracující s lidmi se schizofrenií, vnímají využívání psychoterapeutických technik jako součást vlastní odborné identity? Práce se zabývá mapováním prolínání profesního světa sociální práce a psychoterapie v kontextu péče o osoby s psychotickým onemocněním. První část práce je věnovaná důkladné konceptualizaci všech pojmů z hlavní výzkumné otázky: duševnímu onemocnění s důrazem na popis problematiky psychóz, sociální práci a její identitě, vztahu sociální práce a psychoterapie, psychoterapeutickým technikám a jejich využívání a také konceptualizaci pojmu vnímání. Druhá část práce popisuje kompletní metodologický výzkumný design. Závěrečná fáze interpretace zahrnuje jak kvalitativní, tak kvantitativní část. Kromě šestnácti kvalitativních rozhovorů se sociálními pracovníky s absolvovaným psychoterapeutickým výcvikem a bez výcviku, kteří pracují primárně s klienty s psychotickým onemocněním, je výzkum rozšířen o kvantitativní část práce, která usiluje o popis podílu sociálních pracovníků s psychoterapeutickým výcvikem v kontextu péče o osoby s duševním onemocněním. Interpretační část práce je věnovaná popisu zjištění obou fází výzkumu. V závěru jsou kromě odpovědi na hlavní výzkumnou otázku zpracována také doporučení pro praxi a návrhy dalších výzkumů, které z interpretační části vyplynuly.

Abstract:

This dissertation aims to examine: Whether social workers attending to patients with psychotic disorders perceive the use of psychotherapeutic techniques as part of their professional identity, and if so, to what extent they perceive them as such? This thesis explores the intersection of the professional world of social work and psychotherapy in the context of caring for people with psychotic disorders. The first part of the thesis is devoted to a thorough conceptualization of all the concepts from the main research question: mental illness with an emphasis on psychosis, social work and its identity, the relationship between social work and psychotherapy, psychotherapeutic techniques and their use, as well as the conceptualization of the central notion of perception. The next part of the thesis describes the methodological and interpretive phases of the research. The interpretive part of the thesis includes both qualitative and quantitative parts. In addition to the 16 qualitative interviews with social workers with and without psychotherapeutic training who work primarily with clients with psychotic disorders, the research is extended to include a quantitative part of the thesis that maps the proportion of social workers with psychotherapeutic training in the context of caring for people with mental disorders. The interpretative part of the thesis is devoted to describing the findings of both phases of the research. It also concludes with recommendations for practice and suggestions for further research.
