Práce je zaměřena na využití vyprošťovacích, imobilizačních a transportních prostředků v praxi. Teoretická část je soustředěna na vybavení vybraných složek IZS a popis jednotlivých pomůcek. Dále je u pomůcek zmíněna indikace a způsob jejího využití. Praktická část prezentuje výsledky výzkumného šetření provedeného mezi členy vybraných složek IZS.
