The bachelor thesis tries to offer a complex view of an important cultural institution the Moravian Cartographical Centre in Velké Opatovice which is unique in the Czech Republic.The chapters deal with the town Velké Opatovice and its history, further they focus on the historical development of the building of the Centre.
