Stress and Stress Factors in a Selected Company

Abstract:

Diplomová práce se zaměřuje na problematiku pracovního stresu a zátěžových faktorů ve vybrané společnosti. Teoretická část obsahuje rešerši dosavadních poznatků o tématech stresu, pracovního stresu a zátěže, syndromu vyhoření a dalších, souvisejících s aktuálními problémy ve společnosti. Ve spolupráci s pracovníky z HR oddělení společnosti byly vybrány klíčové oblasti u vybraných kategorií zaměstnanců, z nichž byly formulovány hypotézy. Cílem práce bylo tyto oblasti popsat a porovnat s běžnou populací. Pro výzkum byla zvolena kvantitativní metoda sběru dat prostřednictvím tří standardizovaných dotazníků vyplňovaných online formou. Dotazník SVF 78 se zaměřuje na strategie zvládání stresu a poskytl náhled na využití pozitivních a negativních strategií u pracovníků společnosti. Prostřednictvím MBI – Maslach Burnout Inventory dotazníku byly zjištěny informace o stupni vyhoření pracovníků společnosti. Dotazník životní spokojenosti nám poskytl informace jak o celkové životní spokojenosti zaměstnanců v porovnání s běžnou populací. Hypotézy byly otestovány pomocí statistických testů a zhodnoceny v diskuzi. Mezi nejvýznamnější výsledky práce patří zjištění, že zaměstnanci společnosti používají v průměru statisticky významně více pozitivní strategie a méně negativní strategie zvládání stresu, než je tomu u běžné populace. Také dosahují statisticky významně vyššího stupně vyhoření v oblastech depersonalizace a osobního uspokojení v porovnání s běžnou populací. Dále byla zjištěna statisticky významně nižší celková životní spokojenost u pracovníků společnosti ve srovnání s běžnou populací. Z práce plynou podněty pro další práci HR oddělení společnosti, například zaměření se na pracovní klima a vztahy na pracovišti.

Abstract:

The thesis focuses on the issue of work stress and stress factors in a selected company. The theoretical part contains an overview of previous research knowledge on the topics of stress, work stress and strain, burnout syndrome and others related to current problems in society. In cooperation with the HR department of the company, key areas in selected categories of employees were selected, from which hypotheses were formulated. The aim was to describe these areas and compare them with the general population. A quantitative method of data collection was chosen for the research through three standardized questionnaires completed online. The SVF 78 questionnaire focuses on stress management strategies and provided insight into the use of positive and negative strategies by the company's employees. Through the MBI – Maslach Burnout Inventory questionnaire, information on the degree of burnout of the company's employees was obtained. The Life Satisfaction Questionnaire provided information on both the overall life satisfaction of employees compared to the general population. Hypotheses were tested using statistical tests and evaluated in the discussion. The most significant results of the paper include the finding that on average, employees of the company use statistically significantly more positive coping strategies and less negative coping strategies than the general population. They also achieve statistically significantly higher levels of burnout in the areas of depersonalization and personal satisfaction compared to the general population. Furthermore, overall life satisfaction was found to be statistically significantly lower among company employees compared to the general population. The study provides suggestions for further work of the company's HR department, such as focusing on work climate and workplace relationships.
