Energy security of the Czech Republic

Abstract:

Cílem této bakalářské práce je popsat energetickou bezpečnost České republiky, jak je zajišťována a v jakých oblastech se to projevuje. Dále se bude zabývat energetickou koncepcí a tím zda je koncepce naplňována. Práce popíše energetické suroviny, zaměří se na jejich dodávky a to, zda jsou v souladu s energetickou koncepcí. Jsou dodávky strategických energetických zdrojů dostatečně diverzifikovány? Jak jsou dodávky energetických surovin zajišťovány a z jakých zemí? Na základě stanovených otázek práce došla k těmto závěrům. Co se týče diverzifikace, tak je dle této práce dostatečná, protože došlo k uzavření smluv s více dodavateli z různých zemí. Důležitými faktory bylo také vybudování nových přepravních cest pro energetické suroviny, jednání s novými možnými dodavateli energetických surovin, tak aby nebyla Česká Republika závislá na jednom dodavateli, a také zajištění jejich zkušebních dodávek. Práce také zdokumentovala, nutnost do budoucna počítat s tím, že uhelná paliva, ve kterých byla Česká Republika soběstačná, bude nutné po jejich vyčerpání něčím nahradit a je třeba se tomu začít věnovat co nejdříve.

Abstract:

The aim of this thesis is to describe the energy security of the Czech Republic, the way of its ensuring and also what areas it manifests itself. Further it is going to deal with energy concept and the fact whether the concept is fulfilled. This thesis is going to describe energy raw materials with focusing on their supply sources and its compliance with the energy conception. Are the strategic supplies of the energy sources sufficiently diversified? From which countries and how are the supplies of raw materials provided? Based on this set of questions my thesis made following conclusions. In terms of diversification it seems to be sufficient, because contracts with multiple suppliers from several countries were concluded. Important factors were also building new transport routes for energy raw materials and negotiations with new potential suppliers of energy raw materials, so that Czech Republic would not be dependent on a single supplier, and ensuring their testing supplies. This thesis has also documented the necessity to count with the fact that coal fuels, in which Czech Republic was self-sufficient, should be necessarily replaced with something else after its exhaustion and it needs the attention as soon as possible
