Comparison of tested benefits within the social support in the Czech Republic, Great Britain and Sweden

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce se zabývá srovnáním testovaných dávek státní sociální podpory v České republice, Velké Británii a ve Švédsku. Teoretická komparativní analýza je doplněna interpretací praktické výzkumné části práce, resp. dotazníkového šetření. Jeho cílem bylo zjistit spokojenost vzorku českých respondentů s testovanými dávkami státní sociální podpory v České republice. Výsledky ukazují nesouhlas s výší všech tří dávek, příp. nadbytečnost jejich vyplácení. Přídavek na dítě ve všech věkových kategoriích není dostatečný, příspěvek na bydlení by bylo vhodné zavést pouze pro ekonomicky aktivní obyvatele anebo využívat zcela jinou formu pomoci. Porodné není motivací k početí dítěte a vyskytují se tendence k jeho plošnému vyplácení či úplnému zrušení. Hypotéza práce, že výše a podmínky vyplácení testovaných dávek státní sociální podpory jsou v České republice nevhodně nastavené, byla na základě provedené analýzy a výsledků dotazníkového šetření u vybraných respondentů potvrzena.

Abstract:

This bachelor's thesis is about comparison of tested social benefits within the social support in the Czech Republic, Great Britain and Sweden. Theoretical comparative analysis is supplemented by interpretation of the practical research part, i. e. of the survey. Its objective was to find out the Czech respondents' satisfaction with tested social benefits within the social support in the Czech Republic. The results indicate disagreement with the amount of all three benefits or their redundancy. Child benefit is in all age categories insufficient, the housing benefit should be eligible only for the economically active population or a completely different form of support should be used. Sure start maternity grant is not the motivation for giving birth to another child and there is a trend to its universal payment or complete cancellation. Hypothesis that the amount and payment conditions of tested social benefits within the social support in the Czech Republic are set inappropriately was on the basis of the analysis and the survey accepted.
