Vergleich des epischen und des Dokumentartheaters

Abstract:

At my work, in my opinion, I aimed at ones of the most important theatres, which have got a great significance for German literature. I have chosen the book of Berthold Brecht from the epic theatre The good person of Setzuan. From the documentary theatre I have chosen the play of Peter Weiss The Investigation. I have chosen my work as a comparison of both of the theatres or their conception in my chosen books as the case may be. Both of the theatres have got many common features. Documentary theatre is also connected with the Brechts conception of the epic theatre and both of them respond to the situation in Germany during The Second World War. They take the elaboration of the topic of different ways: for the documentary theatre the credibility is very important; it means the accurate and nonfictitious expression of the definite moment. In my case, Weiss deals with the cause of the Osvětims process and the authentication of the statements of the witnesses and defendants. The epic theatre does not aim at the concrete event, but it describes the picture of the longer time period which is completed with a similitude and fictitious elements. Brecht in his book describes the economy of the Výmars Republic and focuses on the criticism of capitalism. This picture is set into a fictitious Chinese town Sečuan. The result of my work is the establishment of the different conception of the historical events and the different attitude of the theatres to the elaboration of the topics in which they use their own features.

Abstract:

Ve své práci jsem se zaměřila, podle mého názoru, na jedny z nejdůležitějších divadel, které mají pro německou literaturu velkou váhu. Z Brechtova epického divadla jsem si zvolila knihu Bertolda Brechta Dobrý muž ze Sečuany a z divadla dokumentárního hru Petera Weisse Přelíčení. Svoji práci jsem pojala jako srovnání obou divadel, respektive jejich pojetí ve mnou zvolených knihách. Obě divadla mají mnohé společné. Dokumentární divadlo rovněž vychází a čerpá z Brechtovy koncepce epického divadla a obě reagují na dění v Německu během nacionalismu a 2. světové války. Rozdílně pojímají zpracování látky, kde pro dokumentární divadlo je důležitá věrohodnost, přesné a nesmyšlené vyjádření určitého momentu. V mém případě Weiss zachycuje průběh Osvětimského procesu a autentičnost výpovědí svědků a obžalovaných. Epické divadlo se však nezaměřuje na konkrétní událost, nýbrž popisuje obraz delšího časového období, které je doplněno o podobenství a fiktivní prvky. Brecht ve své knize nám přiblížuje hospodářství Výmarské republiky a zaměřuje se v ní na kritiku kapitalismu. Tento obraz je zasazen do smyšleného čínského městečka Sečuan. Výsledkem mé práce je zjištění rozdílného pojetí daných historických událostí a různého přístupu divadel ke zpracování tématu, ve kterém využívají vlastních prvků.
