Comparison of statistics in tourism

Abstract:

Diplomová práce se zabývá analýzou veřejně dostupných statistik v cestovním ruchu. Blíže se pak soustředí na Marketingový informační systém a statistiky využívající geolokační signalizační data mobilního operátora. Za pomoci dotazování osob pracujících v administrativě cestovního ruchu, nejčastěji v destinačních managementech a rozhovorů s odborníky bylo zjišťováno, jakým způsobem jsou využívána statistická data v cestovním ruchu v České republice, jaké mají nedostatky a následně byl vyhodnocen jejich aktuální stav. Návazně na to jsou navržena konkrétní opatření pro optimalizaci těchto statistik a usnadnění práce zainteresovaných osob.

Abstract:

This thesis deals with the analysis of publicly available statistics in tourism. Afterwards it focuses more on the Marketing Information System and Statistics using geolocation signaling data of the mobile operator. With the help of interviewing persons working in tourism administration, mostly destination management and interviews with experts, it was found out how statistical data in tourism in the Czech Republic are being used, what are their shortcomings and subsequently their current status was evaluated. In addition, concrete measures are proposed to optimize these statistics and facilitate the work of people working with these data.
