Distress of hospitalized children´s parents

Abstract:

Cílem přehledové bakalářské práce bylo zjistit a sumarizovat faktory a intervence ovlivňující míru zátěže rodičů hospitalizovaných dětí. Odborné studie byly vyhledány pomoci elektronických databází PubMed, CINAHL, EBSCO, ScienceDirect a BiblioMedica pomocí předem definovaných kritérií. Pro vypracování přehledové bakalářské práce byly zařazeny odborné studie splňující zahrnovací kritéria: studie zaměřené na problematiku zátěže rodičů hospitalizovaných dětí a možných intervencích snižující zátěž rodičů těchto dětí, publikované v českém nebo anglickém jazyce a vydané v letech 2013-2023. Extrakce, analýza a syntéza dat proběhla na základě stanovených 2 výzkumných cílů. Teoretická část se zabývá přiblížením terminologie týkající se pojmu stres a dalšími pojmy s ním souvisejících, které dále rozvíjí. Dále v této části je také zahrnuto vysvětlení faktorů a intervencí, jež jsou elementárním prvkem této práce. Druhá část práce následně obsahuje popis, porovnání a nasdílení výsledků vybraných deset studií zabývající se právě oblastmi faktorů a intervencí s ohledem na hlavní téma práce, kterým je zátěž na rodiče hospitalizovaných dětí. V každé kapitole je vybráno několik oblastí, které popisují, jak napomoci správnému pochopení, co zátěž v rodičích vyvolává a následně pak intervenční praktiky, které by měly danou stresovou situaci snížit.

Abstract:

The aim of the bachelor thesis was to find, identify and summarize factors and interventions affecting the level of burden of parents of hospitalized children. Expert studies were searched using the electronic databases PubMed, CINAHL, EBSCO, ScienceDirect and BiblioMedica using predefined criteria. For the development of the review thesis, the following studies were included: studies that met the inclusion criteria: studies focused on the burden of parents of hospitalized children and possible interventions to reduce the burden of parents of these children, published in Czech or English and published between 2013 and 2023. The theoretical part deals with an introduction to the terminology related to the concept of stress and other related concepts that are further developed by. Also included in this part is an explanation of the factors and interventions that are an elementary element of this thesis. The second part of the thesis then includes a description, comparison and sharing of the results of ten selected studies dealing specifically with the areas of factors and interventions with respect to the main theme of the thesis, which is the burden on parents of hospitalized children. In each chapter, several areas are selected to describe how to facilitate a proper understanding of what the burden is causing in parents and then intervention practices to reduce the stressful situation.
