The Golden Ribbon - The history of the award for book production for children and teenagers

Abstract:

Diplomová práce se zabývá vznikem a postupným vývojem soutěže Zlatá stuha. V úvodu práce je popsána stručná historie českých ocenění knižní tvorby pro děti a mládež od šedesátých let dvacátého století. Dále je zde nastíněna situace knižního trhu v oblasti literatury pro děti a mládež v devadesátých letech dvacátého století a s ní spojený vývoj literární teorie a kritiky. V hlavní části je pozornost věnována samotnému vzniku Zlaté stuhy a jejímu rozvoji, kterým za pětadvacet let existence prošla. V závěru diplomové práce jsou umístěny přílohy, obsahující seznam všech ocenění, současné vyhlašovatele a spolupořadatele, medailony význačných osobností spojených se Zlatou stuhou, rozhovory, dopisy a obrazový materiál.

Abstract:

The diploma thesis deals with the emergence and the gradual development of the Golden Ribbon. The introduction describes the brief history of awards of the Czech literary works for children and teenagers since the sixties of the twentieth century. Furthermore, there is an outline of the situation of the book market in the field of literature for children and youth in the nineties of the twentieth century and the associated development of literary theory and criticism. The main attention is paid to the very origin of the Golden Ribbon and its development, through which it has gone during twenty-five years of its existence. In the conclusion, the thesis includes attachments consisting of a list of all the awards, current announcers and co-hosts, profiles of prominent figures associated with the Golden Ribbon, interviews, letters and images.
