Cultural Determinants of E-mail Communication Styles Among Students
Abstract:
The aim of this research is to analyse whether email communication styles (directness, formalness, promptness, preciseness, task-relatedness, and relationship-relatedness) vary across cultures. That means, more specifically, if differences in email communication styles can be explained by Hall´s concept of culture (context, time, space).
Abstract:
Cílem této diplomové práce je analyzovat zda-li se e-mailové komunikační styly (přímost, formálnost, rychlost, přesnost, orientováno na úlohu, orientováno na vztahy) liší mezi různými kulturami. Přesněji řečeno, je zde zjišťováno, jestli rozdíly co se týče stylů e-mailové korespondence mohou být vysvětleny dle kulturního pojetí konceptu Edwarda T. Halla (kontext, čas, prostor).
