Crisis management in the hotel industry with a focus on the safety of hotel operations

Abstract:

Diplomová práce je zaměřena na bezpečnost hotelového provozu v průběhu krizových situací. Postupným zpracováním informací je objasnit, co zahrnuje příprava a jak se projevují průběžné aplikace strategického řízení, které vyhodnocuje krizový management. Teoretická část se věnuje okrajově vývoji hotelnictví. Výklad je soustředěn na jednotlivé pojmy krizového řízení, dosavadní zkušenosti a problematiku. Praktická část rozebírá tři krizové situace v reálném hotelu. Jedná se o mimořádné události zaviněné třetí osobou, živelnou pohromou a typem obecného charakteru. Poukazuje se zde na rozhodování manažerů krizového týmu, aplikaci strategického řízení v praxi při snaze zabezpečit hotelový provoz. Metodika práce vychází z pozorování, srovnávání dopadů vnitřního a vnějšího charakteru při průběhu krizových situací. V grafickém provedení je zpracováno jednotlivé zhodnocení kladů a záporů vyplývajících z těchto událostí pro hotel.

Abstract:

The thesis is focused on the safety of hotel operations during emergencies. The gradual processing of information is to clarify what involves preparation and how the continuous application of strategic direction, which evaluates emergency management, manifests itself. The theoretical part marginally deals with development of the hotel industry. Interpretation is centered on the individual terms of crisis management, experience and issues. The practical part describes the three crisis in the real hotel. These are incidents caused by third parties, natural disaster and the type of character. It refers to the decisions of crisis team managers, the application of strategic management in practice in an effort to ensure safe operation. Methodology of thesis is based on observations, on comparison of the impact of internal and external character during crisis situations. The graphic design is created on the individual assessment of the pros and cons of these events for the hotel.
