Depreciation of assets - the accounting and tax point of view

Abstract:

Jelikož je majetek předmětem odpisování, nebude chybět ani několik řádků obsahujících jeho vymezení, ocenění a dalších změn majících dopad na odpisování. Ve této práci je hlavní pozornost upřena na odpisy, konkrétně na dva pojmové aparáty, účetní odpisy a daňové odpisy, které se nezasvěceným osobám mohou zdát téměř totožné. Vyskytují se zde však některé z jejich rozdílností, nejen jiná přídavná jména, které dají vzniku položce v účetnictví zvané odložená daň. Pro komplexnost bude i tato problematika okrajově zmíněna a popsána, neboť je jedním z důsledků nesouměrnosti účetního a daňového pohledu. Praktickou část bude představovat analýza odpisové politiky zvoleného podniku pro ukázku naší problematiky v praxi.

Abstract:

Due to asset being a subject of depreciation, this thesis includes a few words about its definition, appreciation and other changes that impact the depreciation. This thesis focus on depreciation, especially on two matters, accounting and tax depreciation, which can appear identical to those, who are not interested in this field. However, there are few differences, not just dissimilar adjectives, which lead to an item in accounting called deferred tax. To complete the whole problem this issue will be peripherally mentioned and described, due to it portraying the asymmetry of accounting and tax point of view. The practical part will show an analysis of the politics of depreciation of the chosen company to represent this problematic in practice.
