Abstract:

Bakalárska práca sa zaoberá nástrojmi na rozvoj interkultúrnej komunikačnej kompetencie v interkultúrnych rodinách. Práca je rozdelená na dve časti. Teoretická časť obsahuje jednoduché definície pojmov kultúra, komunikácia a komunikačná kompetencia, a ďalej sa zaoberá interkultúrnou komunikačnou kompetenciou a interkultúrnymi rodinami. Na zodpovedanie hlavnej výskumnej otázky empirická časť čerpá a analyzuje údaje z polo-štruktúrovaných rozhovorov a popisuje rôzne techniky využívané na kultiváciu kľúčových prvkov kompetencie, účasť detí na interkultúrnych stretnutiach a postoj rodičov k tejto téme a ich úlohu počas ponúkaných príležitostiach. Výsledky napríklad ukázali, že cestovanie a aktívna účasť na interkultúrnych stretnutiach boli najbežnejšími stretnutiami, alebo že rodičia svoje deti v procese väčšinou podporovali.

Abstract:

The diploma thesis deals with the methods and tools used for the development of intercultural communicative competence in intercultural families. The paper is divided into two parts. The theoretical part covers simple definitions of the terms culture, communication and communication competence, and further explores the intercultural communicative competence and intercultural families. To answer the main research question, the empirical part extracts data from the in-depth interviews and describes multiple methods and techniques utilized for the cultivation of the competence’s key elements, the opportunities to engage in intercultural encounters and the parents’ approaches and attitudes towards the topic. The results showed that travelling and participating in intercultural communities were some of the most common tools, or that the parents were mostly supportive of their children.
