Abstract:

Práce „Distribuované virtuální výukové prostředí“ je rozdělena do tří základních částí.První část pojednává o rysech stávajících výukových prostředí a popisuje vybraná profesionální vývojová prostředí zaměřená na programovací jazyk Java. Práce se zde zaměřuje na popis těchto prostředí a jejich zhodnocení ve vztahu k běžnému uživateli. V této části jsou také popsána dvě výuková prostředí, WebCT a Moodle.Druhá část je věnována popisu specifických požadavků prostředí vhodného k podpoře výuky programování. Dále tato část představuje návrhy experimentálních verzí tohoto distribuovaného systému. Obsahuje různé modely asynchronní komunikace hybridního klienta se serverem, které byly postupně navrženy a implementovány při vývoji tohoto systému. Jsou popsány výhody a nevýhody jednotlivých řešení.Třetí část práce je zaměřena na tvorbu obecného konceptu systému. Je zde navržena obecná architektura asynchronní komunikace podobně zaměřených systémů. Na základě obecného konceptu je pak navržena a implementována nová část systému jako ukázka použitelnosti obecné architektury. Je zde také popsána možnost integrace systému do WebCT a Moodle a výsledky testování systému v praktickém provozu. V závěru je nastíněna otázka budoucího vývoje systému a obecné architektury.

Abstract:

The thesis “Distributed Virtual Learning Environment” is divided into three parts.The first part deals with the features of current learning management systems and describes selected professional development environments for the language Java programming. The thesis focuses on description of these environments and their evaluation in relation to the ordinary user. Two learning environments, the WebCT and the Moodle, are described in detail.The second part deals with specific requirements that are suitable for teaching programming in this kind of environment. This part brings designs of experimental versions of this distributed system. Various models of asynchronous communication among hybrid clients and a server are depicted, as well. Principles described here were experimentally verified during the implementation of this distributed system. The advantages and disadvantages of all models are enumerated.The third part of this thesis focuses on creation of a general concept of the system on its general architecture. General architecture of asynchronous communication of similarly specialized systems is designed. Based on this new concept, new part of a system is designed and implemented as illustration of general architecture usability. Possibility of system integration into the WebCT and the Moodle is another issue which was included into this part. Records relating to the testing procedure of the system operating in practise can be found there, as well. The outline of future development of this system and of this general architecture makes the final part of the thesis.
