Present state of the Bečva Riverscape

Abstract:

Diplomová práce analyzuje současnou strukturu říční krajiny Spojené Bečvy, kde ve vybraných transektech vyhodnocuje její ekologickou stabilitu. Přináší vhled do problematiky samotného vymezování říční krajiny, a to na základě studia existující literatury a také praktické aplikace různých přístupů stanovování hranic údolní nivy. Charakterizuje současný stav ochrany zdejší přírody a krajiny, zabývá se její optimalizací stejně jako současnými i potenciálními antropogenními hrozbami. V nejobsáhlejší části na základě výsledků podrobného terénního průzkumu zkoumá a interpretuje stav hydromorfologické kvality zájmového území Spojené Bečvy mezi Valašským Meziříčím a Hranicemi, přičemž klade zvláštní důraz na katastrofální povodní z roku 1997 renaturované úseky. Součástí práce je i návrh terénního cvičení, ve kterém se studenti SŠ seznámí s procesy utvářejícími říční krajinu a povahu interakcí člověka s nimi.

Abstract:

The diploma thesis deals with the analysis of the current structure of the “Spojená Bečva” riverscape, where in the selected transects its ecological stability is evaluated. It provides insight into the issue of the determination of the riverscape according to the study of existing literature and also the practical application of the various approaches to the definition of the boundaries of the flood plain. There is also a characteristic of the current state of protection of local nature and landscape and its optimisation as well as the current and prospective anthropogenic menace. In the most expansive part, there is a research based on the results of the elaborated cross-country survey and an interpretation of the condition of the hydromorphological quality in the selected area of “Spojená Bečva” between Valašské Meziříčí and Hranice with the strong emphasis on the areas which were renatured due to the disastrous flood in 1997. The thesis also contains the suggestion of the cross-country training, in which the students of secondary schools will be learnt about the processes that shape a river landscape and the form of interaction of a human with them.
