Ve své práci se zabývám černošským feminismem, tj. hnutím, které vzniklo z nespokojenosti s bělošským feminismem a hnutím za občanská práva v 6O. letech v USA. Na příkladech poezie dvou současných černošských spisovatelek, Alice Walker a Rity Dove, zkoumám vývoj v hlavních tématech tohoho hnutí. Současný trend černošského feminismu neklade příliš důraz na rasu, ale naopak vyzdvihuje důležitost individuality …moreAbstract:
In my thesis I examine a phenomenon of the post Civil Rights Movement, Black feminism. To explore the core themes of Black feminist thought, e.i. racism, sexism and classism, I use the poetry of two contemporary African American writers, Alice Walker and Rita Dove. By comparing and contrasting them I illustrate the alternations in Black feminism and the trend towards the deessentialization of race …more
