Bakalářská práce se zabývá překladem oblíbeného bestseleru If life is a Game, These are the Rules, jejímž autorem je Chérie Carter-Scott. Na první část, která představuje autora a knihu zvolenou za účelem překladu, navazuje část druhá, charakteristika textu.
