Abstract:

Tato diplomová práce se zabývá problematikou dvou nejrozšířenějších náboženství v celém světě (křesťanstvím a islámem) a jejich vztahem k násilí a terorismu. Vzhledem k tomu, že se v dnešním moderním světě násilí a terorismus obhajují náboženským podtextem, stejně jako tomu bylo v naší historii, je toto téma jedno z nejdiskutovanějších v dnešní společnosti. Diplomová práce se zabývá náboženstvím a jeho vlivem na terorismus. Cílem práce je analýza vztahu mezi pojmy křesťanství, islám a jejich vztahu k násilí a válce. Práce by měla nalézt odpověď na otázku, jestli lze terorismus ospravedlnit náboženstvím. Metoda užívaná při psaní práce je metoda historicko-logická a komparativní. Důvodem pro zvolení tohoto tématu je aktuálnost, protože nábožensky motivovaný terorismus je v dnešním globalizovaném světě na vzestupu. Diplomová práce je teoretická, v jejím obsahu je popsána současná role náboženství v globalizovaném světě a vztah mezi náboženstvím a terorismem či válečnými konflikty.

Abstract:

This diploma thesis deals with the issue of two most widely practiced religions in the world, i.e. Christianity and Islam, and their attitude to violence and terrorism. Regarding the fact that violence and terrorism appear with religious overtones in the modern days, as they did in our history as well, this topic is one of the most discussed issues in the present society. The diploma thesis deals with religion and its impact on terrorism. The thesis aims to analyse the relationship between these two concepts, i.e. Christianity and Islam, and their attitude to violence and war. The thesis should find an answer to the question if religion can actually justify terrorism. In writing the thesis, historical-logical and comparative methods were used. The reason for choosing this topic is its currency, as the religiously motivated terrorism has been on the rise in the modern globalised world. The diploma thesis is theoretical; its content describes the present role of religion in the globalised world and the relationship between religion and terrorism or war conflicts.
