This Bachelor thesis explores the ability of students to distinguish spoken American from spoken British English by the means of a questionnaire. The first part of the paper focuses on defining the standard American and standard British pronunciation. Abstract:
V této bakalářské práci je prostřednictvím dotazníku studována schopnost studentů rozlišit mezi mluvenou americkou a britskou angličtinou. V první části je definován standard výslovnosti americké a britské angličtiny. V druhé části jsou presentovány a porovnány rozdíly mezi oběma standardy. Ve třetí části je proveden dotazník, jehož výsledky jsou následně vyhodnoceny.
