Revenue Recognition under IFRS

Abstract:

Předmětem diplomové práce „Uznávání výnosů podle mezinárodních standardů účetního výkaznictví“ je popsání uznávání výnosů podle různých mezinárodních standardů účetního výkaznictví včetně české národní úpravy. V první části se zaměřím na charakteristiku jednotlivých standardů a především nově vzniklého standardu IFRS 15 Výnosy ze smluv se zákazníky, který sjednocuje uznávání výnosů napříč standardy. Druhá část je zaměřena na praktickou stránku uznávání výnosů a testování smluv podle nového pěti krokového postupu, který zavádí IFRS 15.

Abstract:

The object of the submitted thesis: “Revenue Recognition under IFRS” is to describe revenue recognition according to International financial reporting standards including Czech legislation. In the first part there is description of financial reporting standards and primarily the newly created standard IFRS 15 Revenue recognition from contracts with customers, which unify revenue recognition across the different systems of standards. The second part is focused on practical side of revenue recognition and testing contracts according to five step approach, which is introduced by IFRS 15.
