Affinity chromatography in proteomics

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce se zabývá možnostmi využití afinitní chromatografie v proteomice. V první části této práce jsou shrnuty principy separace pomocí afinitní chromatografie a jednotlivých technik afinitní chromatografie včetně instrumentace. Dále je v práci uvedena stručná charakteristika proteomiky, současné poznatky, cíle a aplikace proteomiky. V poslední části práce jsou detailněji popsány některé dosud publikované výsledky o využití vybraných technik afinitní chromatografie v současné proteomice, zejména při studiu posttranslačně modifikovaných proteinů.

Abstract:

The bachelor thesis deals with the possibilities of application of affinity chromatography in proteomics. Techniques of affinity chromatography as well as basic principles of separation by affinity chromatography and its instrumentation are summarized in the first part, which is followed by a brief characterization of proteomics, its current knowledge, objectives and applications. Final part of the thesis describes in more details some previously published applications of selected techniques of affinity chromatography in current proteomics, especially for the study of protein posttranslational modifications.
