Evaluation of the level of dependency in the provision of social prevention services in shelters for mothers with children

Abstract:

Diplomová práce se zaměřuje na hodnocení míry závislosti uživatelek na sociálních službách poskytovaných azylovými domy Armády spásy v Moravskoslezském kraji. V teoretické části budou představeny klíčové aspekty sociálních služeb, včetně role sociálního pracovníka, specifik azylových domů, problematiky závislosti u ohrožených skupin a přínosu organizace Armády spásy v tomto kontextu. Praktická část práce pak pomocí kvantitativního výzkumu prostřednictvím dotazníků bude zkoumat míru závislosti uživatelek azylových domů na poskytovaných službách. Prostřednictvím kvalitativního výzkumu s využitím polostrukturovaných rozhovorů budou zkoumány také příčiny žen k příchodu do azylového domu, jejich očekávání od pobytu a plány do budoucna po opuštění tohoto zařízení. Cílem práce je nejen poskytnout hlubší vhled do problematiky závislosti na sociálních službách, ale také identifikovat potřeby uživatelek a doporučit možné směry pro zlepšení poskytovaných služeb.

Abstract:

The thesis focuses on evaluating the degree of dependency of female users on social services provided by Salvation Army shelters in the Moravian-Silesian region. The theoretical part will present key aspects of social services, including the role of the social worker, specifics of shelters, issues of dependency in vulnerable groups, and the contributions of the Salvation Army in this context. The practical part of the thesis will use quantitative research through questionnaires to examine the degree of dependency of shelter users on the services provided. Through qualitative research using semi-structured interviews, it will also explore the reasons for women's arrival at the shelter, their expectations from the stay, and their future plans after leaving the facility. The aim of the work is not only to provide deeper insight into the issue of dependency on social services but also to identify the needs of the users and recommend possible directions for improving the services provided.
