Analysis and concept of education of seniors in residential social services

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce se bude zabývat analýzou stávajícího stavu edukace seniorů ve vybraných pobytových zařízeních a dle závěrů zjištění bude tvořit součást této práce koncep-t aktivizace seniorů v pobytových sociálních zařízeních. Teoretická část práce bude zaměřena na definování důležitých relevantních pojmů (stáří, senior, geragogika, výchova, vzdělávání apod.), které se tohoto typu edukace týkají. V práci budou dále představena jednotlivá ke spolupráci vybraná pobytová zařízení a stávající nabídka edukačních a aktivizačních činností pro seniory. Praktická část bakalářské práce bude zahrnovat kvalitativní výzkum provedený formou původního polostrukturovaného rozhovoru, který bude zaměřený na možnosti aktivizace a edukace, motivaci a spokojenost seniorů s těmito činnostmi. Výzkum bude proveden se 60 respondenty ze třech zařízení (Domov pro seniory v Krásné Lípě, ve Šluknově a Domov "Srdce v dlaních" v Jiříkově). Cílem výzkumu je zjistit, jak jsou senioři s edukačními a aktivizačními činnostmi v pobytovém zařízení spokojeni, co je motivuje k účasti v nich, jaké mají možnosti dalšího učení a jakým způsobem je tato činnost obohacuje. Tato výzkumná zjištění budou přenesena do návrhu koncepce další edukace seniorů v podobných typech pobytových zařízení, který by na tato výzkumná zjištění reagoval, a přinesl seniorům v pobytových zařízeních očekávaný kvalitativní posun.

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis will deal with the analysis of the current state of education of the elderly in selected residential facilities and according to the conclusions of the findings will form part of this thesis the concept of activation of the elderly in residential social facilities. The theoretical part of the thesis will be focused on defining important relevant concepts (old age, senior, geragogy, education, etc.) related to this type of education. The thesis will also present the individual residential facilities selected for cooperation and the existing offer of educational and activation activities for the elderly. The practical part of the bachelor thesis will include qualitative research conducted in the form of an original semi-structured interview, which will focus on the possibilities of activation and education, motivation and satisfaction of seniors with these activities. The research will be conducted with 60 respondents from three institutions (Home for the elderly in Krásná Lípa, in Šluknov and Home "Heart in the palms" in Jiříkov). The aim of the research is to find out how satisfied seniors are with educational and activation activities in the residential facility, what motivates them to participate in them, what opportunities they have for further learning and how these activities enrich them. These research findings will be translated into the design of a concept for further education of seniors in similar types of residential facilities, which would respond to these research findings and bring the expected qualitative shift to seniors in residential facilities.
