Deficits of partial functions in preschool children and their influence on school readiness

Abstract:

Diplomová práce je zaměřena na děti předškolního věku se speciálními vzdělávacími potřebami v běžné mateřské škole, na oblasti deficitů dílčích funkcí u těchto dětí a jejich vlivem na školní připravenost dítěte. Práce je rozložena do teoretické a praktické části. První kapitola charakterizuje děti se speciálními vzdělávacími potřebami předškolního věku, především v oblastech narušené komunikační schopnosti, smyslových postiženích a opožděného vývoje dítěte. Druhá kapitola přibližuje vývoj dítěte v předškolním věku, poskytuje přehled o oblastech deficitů dílčích funkcí dle Brigitte Sindelarové, posouzení školní zralosti poradenskými pracovišti a stanovením individuálních vzdělávacích plánů. Následující kapitola se věnuje edukaci dětí se speciálně vzdělávacími potřebami v mateřské škole, vymezení legislativních rámců, podpůrným opatřením a spolupráci s rodinou dětí. Praktická část obsahuje cíle výzkumného šetření, použité metody, včetně nestandardizovaného testu Brigitte Sindelarové. Popisuje výzkumný vzorek a uvádí tři kazuistiky testovaných dětí. Kvalitativní výzkum je zaměřen na analýzu deficitů dílčích funkcí v jednotlivých oblastech (zrakové, sluchové a řečové) u dětí předškolního věku v rámci běžné mateřské školy, jejich vliv na školní připravenost. Věnuje se také činnostem podporující rozvoj v uvedených oblastech a demonstruje výsledek podpůrných prací s dětmi. Předkládá návrhy pro speciálně pedagogickou praxi.

Abstract:

The diploma thesis is focused on preschool children with special educational needs in a regular nursery school, on the areas of deficits of partial functions in these children and their influence on the child's school readiness. The thesis is divided into theoretical and practical parts. The first chapter characterizes children with special educational needs of pre-school age, especially in the areas of impaired communication skills, sensory disabilities and delayed child development. The second chapter describes the development of a child in preschool age, provides an overview of the areas of deficits of partial functions according to Brigitte Sindelarová, assessment of school maturity by counseling workplaces and setting individual educational plans. The following chapter deals with the education of children with special educational needs in nursery school, the definition of legislative frameworks, support measures and cooperation with the children's families. The practical part contains the objectives of the research investigation, the methods used, including a non-standardized test by Brigitte Sindelarová. It describes the research sample and presents three case reports of the tested children. Qualitative research is focused on the analysis of deficits of partial functions in individual areas (visual, auditory and speech) in preschool children within a regular nursery school, their influence on school readiness. It is also engaged in activities supporting development in these areas and demonstrates the result of support work with children. Presents proposals for special pedagogical practice.
